Setup:Configuration takes place on the device itself. Alternatively, settings can also be made using the free software (Windows, Mac or Linux). However, the software is only necessary if the data logging function is to be used. To use the data logging function, the separately available data stick is connected via USB to a computer on which the software is installed. The computer must be within range of the controller to record data. (Data is not temporarily stored in the controller or the stick. In order to back up data, a continuous connection between stick and controller is necessary. Several controllers can be connected to one stick. They form a kind of network and can also share the data of the other , more distant devices, to the stick. However, a "range extender" may also be required if the distance is too great.
