Hygro-Pack 58% - Precise humidity control for your herbs

The Hygro-Pack 58% has been scientifically designed to maintain an accurate relative humidity level in a closed container. Similar to Boveda, these packs work at different RH levels, providing the perfect moisture control for your herbal medicine. Unlike other humidification products, Hygro-Pack 58% will never humidify beyond the stated RH on the packaging, so you never have to worry about your herbs getting too humid.

Each pack contains a specially prepared saturated solution of pure water and natural salt contained in a water vapor permeable "reverse osmosis" membrane. This membrane allows purified water vapor to pass through as needed to keep the relative humidity in your container at the desired level.

Hygro-Pack 58% provides the cleanest, purest moisture your herbs need to stay at their best. However, note that you should not mix RH levels within the same container and should not use Hygro-Pack 58% in the same container with other humidification products as this may reduce the efficiency of the pack.

58% or 62% - Which Boveda RH should I choose?

It is an individual preference whether to choose 58% or 62% relative humidity - depending on what experience you prefer or how humid the location is. For personal use, some prefer 58% relative humidity, while for storing larger quantities of herbs, 62% is preferred.

Application of Boveda Packs

By using Boveda Packs to store your herbs, you not only achieve a longer shelf life, but also an improved taste quality. Under suitable storage conditions, herbs can mature (fermentation) and thus gain both taste and effect.

Another advantage of the Boveda technology is that the packs increase the humidity to the exact value of 62% to prevent the formation of mold. Before storing your herbs with Boveda Packs, the manufacturer recommends drying them slightly. It is important to keep the paper packaging of the Boveda Packs closed. When a Boveda Pack is no longer soft and feels firm, it is no longer functional and should be replaced.
